Breaking Barriers & Shaping the Future of Biometrics: PharmaSUG 2025 Recap

This year at PharmaSUG 2025, Intego Clinical proudly continued our mission of transforming clinical research through global expertise, innovation, and bold new perspectives. With more than 700 industry professionals gathered in San Diego from June 1st to 4th, this year’s event marked a powerful evolution—not only for us, but for the industry as a whole.

🌟 A Historic First: Latin America on the PharmaSUG Stage

For the first time ever, Statistical Programmers from Latin America—specifically, our talented Costa Rica team—took center stage at PharmaSUG. This milestone marks a major shift in how the industry views the Latin American region as a viable, high-caliber contributor to the biometrics and clinical programming space.

We’re incredibly proud of Maria Gomez and Diego Madrigal, who led two groundbreaking presentations on the use of R in clinical research. Their sessions boldly addressed how R, traditionally underutilized in regulatory environments dominated by SAS, can bring flexibility, reproducibility, and innovation to biometrics workflows—without compromising on quality or compliance.

In addition to our Latin American breakthroughs, Intego Clinical also showcased the depth of our global talent through three outstanding presentations by our expert teams in the United States, Poland, and Ukraine. One of the standout sessions was led by our Biometrics Director, Iryna Kotenko, who continues to set the benchmark for excellence and strategic oversight across our statistical programming teams worldwide.
