On March 24, 2025, Intego Group proudly returned as a Gold Sponsor of the UCF Big Data Analytics Symposium, now in our sixth year supporting this vibrant event. Hosted in partnership with Women in Data Science, Orlando, the symposium brings together a diverse mix of academia and industry, giving students a firsthand look at the evolving opportunities in data-driven careers.
A Unique Life Sciences Perspective
Each year, the symposium draws companies from across the tech and analytics space—but Intego Group stands apart. As the only sponsor representing the life sciences industry, we offer students an inside view into how data analytics is applied in clinical research, drug development, and patient care. For many, this opens a new career path they may not have previously considered: one where data directly contributes to saving lives.
Roundtables That Made an Impact
This year, rather than taking the stage, we leaned into a more personal format: roundtable discussions. These interactive sessions sparked thoughtful conversations around data careers in healthcare and gave students a chance to speak directly with our team. The smaller format encouraged deeper dialogue—many students stayed well past their sessions to keep the discussion going.
Spotlight on Our Clinical SAS® Internship Program
A key focus of our roundtable conversations was Intego Group’s Clinical SAS® Internship Program, which continues to draw strong interest from UCF students. While not exclusive to UCF, the program has built a strong pipeline with the university over the years, offering students practical, hands-on experience in clinical data analysis and statistical programming.
Participants gain exposure to real-world clinical research projects and learn how data informs critical decisions in life sciences. Through structured training and mentorship, the program equips interns with the skills and experience needed to pursue meaningful careers in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
We’re always encouraged to see how many UCF students are eager to learn more about the program—and excited to watch many of them go on to contribute to the field in impactful ways.
Emerging Themes: What Today’s Students Are Asking
One of the most valuable takeaways this year came from listening. Students shared their perspectives on what they’re looking for in a career—flexibility, purpose-driven work, and clear pathways to growth. Many expressed interest in roles that blend technical skills with real-world application, particularly in industries like healthcare where their work can directly benefit others.
This insight reinforces the importance of our continued engagement at UCF—not just to recruit talent, but to shape opportunities that align with what the next generation of professionals is seeking.
Looking Ahead
As we reflect on another successful year at the UCF Big Data Analytics Symposium, we’re reminded of the importance of industry-academic partnerships in shaping the future of data science. Whether through internships, mentorship, or conversation, Intego Group remains committed to developing the next wave of talent in clinical research.
Thank you to UCF, Women in Data Science Orlando, and the many students who stopped by to connect—we look forward to what’s ahead.
