We’re excited to share highlights from the participation of Intego Group in the Microsoft Community Summit 2024, held in San Antonio, Texas, from October 13-17. This major event brought together over 5,500 attendees from various sectors, including accounting, finance, operations, management, and administration, all eager to explore the latest in Microsoft products. With more than 700 speakers and 260 Microsoft partners, the summit provided invaluable insights and learning opportunities.
One of the standout moments for Intego Group was the presentation by our Business Development Manager, Fiorela Lindsey. Her session, titled “Understanding Different Personality Types and How it Can Help You at Work,” focused on the importance of recognizing and understanding personality types in the workplace.
Session Overview
In this engaging session, Fiorela aimed to equip attendees with tools to identify their own personality types and those of their colleagues. By enhancing communication skills, participants learned how to foster better understanding and improve workplace relationships. The session highlighted that a deeper focus on interpersonal skills is crucial, especially in the technology industry, where technical expertise often overshadows these essential skills.
The outcomes of the session were promising, with participants reporting improved understanding of how to foster cooperation and stronger relationships with colleagues, which are critical factors in enhancing employee retention, a crucial KPI, especially for leaders.
Fiorela’s Experience
Reflecting on her time at the summit, Fiorela expressed her enthusiasm:
“I enjoyed my time at the Community Summit. I believe in working for a company that has giving as one of its pillars, and that is what the Intego Group team accomplished in this presentation. My presentation was about DISC personality profiles, and it was rewarding to hear feedback from the attendees. Most of them agreed that this was a much-needed topic, and some shared how understanding this information has helped them improve relationships at work and on a personal level. The technology industry could greatly benefit from a stronger focus on interpersonal skills, which are unfortunately often overlooked as a key aspect of success in this field. Hearing that they enjoyed the presentation and found it fun made my day and made all the effort truly worthwhile!”
