Scriptothon 2017 Blends Student SAS Programmers with Professionals

This past weekend Intego Group’s leadership hosted Scriptothon 2017 and invited 12 members of our client’s SAS team, 3 referees and 11 students from our Biostatistical University Program. 

What is the Scriptothon?

The goal of this event was to provide team building exercises along with opportunities for students (potential future interns) to work alongside SAS professionals in a challenging environment. 

The event lasted 5 hours and teams (a blend of professionals and students) worked together to complete 4 tasks consisting of tricky problems from our SPA experience. 

Outcome

Teams discovered new and interesting approaches in problem solving and both students and professionals gained more knowledge of non-standard ways of dealing with Data. 

The Scriptothon event is just one way we as a company service our clients.  The outcome of these events lead to innovative thinking and problem solving, that in the end, benefit the clients who hire us to recruit the engineering teams involved.  It also is an opportunity for teams to strengthen their bond and for students to gain experiences out of their textbook practices.
