Shaping the Future of Clinical Research: Welcoming the 12th Generation of Biostatistics Students

Intego Group and Karazin Kharkiv National University Continue Their Commitment to Talent Development Amidst Challenging Times

At Intego Group, we firmly believe that resilience, determination, and continuous growth are key to overcoming challenges and creating lasting change. As we welcome the 12th generation of students into our Biostatistics Certificate Program in partnership with Karazin University, we are reminded of the incredible journey this program has taken since its inception in 2013.

12th Generation: A New Chapter in Clinical Research Education

This year, we are proud to announce the arrival of 24 new students who will begin their journey toward becoming the next generation of biostatisticians, statistical programmers, and clinical research experts. Just like the students before them, these learners are ready to embrace a rigorous curriculum designed to prepare them for the complex and ever-evolving world of clinical trials and pharmaceutical development.

Held online from Monday to Friday, our classes run from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, giving students the flexibility to balance their academic commitments with other responsibilities. Each day, students will attend two classes, covering core subjects such as SAS programming, clinical trials, SDTM standards, statistics, databases, and English. As the semester progresses, they will also explore ADaM and begin learning R—two critical skills that will expand their expertise and prepare them for the diverse demands of the industry.

At the end of January 2025, students will take an intermediate test, marking their first major milestone in the program. The two-semester course will conclude in June 2025, at which point graduates will sit for the SAS Base certification exam. Those who successfully complete the program and earn their certification will be offered a paid internship at Intego Clinical, providing them with invaluable hands-on experience and the opportunity to transition seamlessly into full-time roles within our organization.

A Culture of Endurance and Growth: Resilient Education Amidst Global Challenges

The ongoing war in Ukraine and the global disruptions of the past few years have tested the resilience of many industries, including education. However, at Intego Group, we have adapted and remained steadfast in our commitment to talent development. The Biostatistics Programming Program has flourished despite the challenges, thanks to the determination of both our students and faculty. Our ability to transition to an entirely online format and maintain the same level of rigor and engagement underscores our unwavering commitment to our students’ futures.

The fact that more than 75% of our global workforce at Intego Group is composed of graduates from our training programs speaks volumes about the lasting impact of our educational initiatives. Many of these graduates have gone on to take pivotal roles in the clinical research industry, helping shape the future of healthcare and advancing the development of new therapies. This year’s 12th cohort joins a proud legacy of Intego-trained professionals, and we are confident that they, too, will go on to make significant contributions to the field.

Investing in the Future: What’s Ahead for the Class of 2024-2025

As we look ahead, the 12th generation of students will benefit from not only the high-quality curriculum that has been fine-tuned over the years but also the expanding opportunities within the clinical research and pharmaceutical industries. With new technologies like data analytics and machine learning transforming the way we approach clinical trials, the students are learning to work with some of the most cutting-edge tools in the field, ensuring they are prepared for the next wave of advancements.

At Intego Group, we are dedicated to providing our students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in an ever-changing world. We are equally committed to nurturing their careers through mentorship, internships, and direct involvement in real-world projects. The success stories of our alumni are a powerful testament to the transformative power of education, and we are eager to see what the future holds for our current students.

Looking Toward the Future

The 12th generation marks yet another important milestone in the ongoing journey of Intego Group’s Biostatistics Certificate Program. With each new cohort, we continue to build a brighter future for the clinical research and pharmaceutical industries, one student at a time. We are excited to witness the growth of this year’s class, and we look forward to their achievements as they move through the program and into the next phase of their careers.

We remain committed to offering world-class training that blends academic rigor with practical experience, ensuring that each student has the tools they need to excel. As we continue to support the future of clinical research, we also reaffirm our dedication to the people and communities who help make our mission possible—especially those in Ukraine, who have shown incredible strength in the face of adversity.

Here’s to the 12th generation of Intego-trained biostatisticians, statistical programmers, and clinical research experts. The future is bright, and we are honored to be a part of their journey.
